A key feature is the Village Diary which you will find by following the link in the left hand menu. Any events that happen in and around the village can be posted on the diary page, whether they are local groups or societies, Church events, fun activities or meetings etc. To add your event to the diary page please contact the Diary Keeper.

You will find pages about the Parish Council, the Village Hall, Useful Numbers & Contacts and News items.

We hope you will find this site useful and interesting and consider sending in items for possible inclusion. Like most websites it is envisaged that it grow over time and, to that end, if you would like to see something in particular added to the site please contact the site administrator.

• We’re pleased to announce that after calls for a new VILLAGE CALENDAR we will be producing one for 2013.  Find out more in Craic 6 – due out in the summer.
• Work has begun on the village shelter attached to the playing field wall.
• Play equipment has been installed in the Village Playing Field.

• Great Salkeld village FREE magazine – ‘The Craic*‘. (*’Craic’ or ‘crack’ is a term for fun, entertainment, and enjoyable conversation) A new Great Salkeld village newsletter, The Craic has now been distributed to households in the village since Spring 2011. CRAIC 6 will be distributed in June.
