The ‘Craic’ Magazine

NEWS – the Prize Draw in CRAIC 4 closing date has been extended until January 28th to allow more people to enter bearing in mind the long Christmas and New Year holidays.

5 lucky winners will win a prize in our special Christmas Draw. Correct entries drawn from the ‘bag’ will receive one of these prizes. (1st drawn winner prize no. 1, 2nd drawn winner prize no. 2, etc)

Great Salkeld village FREE magazine – ‘The Craic*’

(*Craic or crack is a term for fun, entertainment, and enjoyable conversation)

CRAIC 4 was distributed in time for Christmas and in this issue we will have more interesting articles and news and our first prize draw.

A Great Salkeld village free magazine, The Craic, is distributed to households in the village. We hope you really like it.

We’re delighted with the input from contributors and look forward to adding more pages for the next issue. Also, we’d like to thank the advertisers for supporting the magazine.

Article, News or Update Submissions

  • If there is anything you would like to submit with a view to publication please email it to the COPY FILE (by clicking on the words COPY FILE you will go to a blank email to send). Please make sure to date the submission and give your own contact details.
  • We cannot guarantee that all copy received will be published – we will sometimes hold 0ver articles for future issues.
  • There is also a hard-copy letter box set up in the church for anyone wanting to submit typed or handwritten copy. All these submissions will need a date and a signature with your contact details.
  • The newsletter will be available to download from this website in PDF format once published and distributed to village households.

ADVERTISING in CRAIC:

Promote your business or services to all the households in Great Salkeld and area by advertising in Craic

Local businesses are invited to advertise in Craic Magazine – issued quarterly.

  • Full page (interior) is 13.5 cm wide x 20cm deep  £44 per issue (£50 from January 2012)
  • 1/2 page (13.5 cm wide x 9.5 cm deep)   £22 per issue (£25 from January 2012)
  • 1/4 page (6.5 cm wide x 9.5 cm deep)   £11 per issue (£15 from January 2012)
  • Flyer inserts – your own A5 or folded A4 single sheet supplied to us to distribute in CRAIC – £20

Supplying your advert to Craic:

  • Adverts can be full colour.
  • Please send as a high resolution PDF file at the correct dimensions.
  • Please use CMYK colour and embed all fonts.
  • If you want to place an advert but need us to produce it for you there is a small fee to do this. £10 per advert. We would need the wording you want and a JPG in high resolution of any image or logo you want to include.
  • For flier inserts please contact as below for the dates by which you should get a flier to us for inclusion in a specific Craic issue.
