…to the communication and information point for the village community and anyone who is interested in Great Salkeld, local events, people and environment.

A key feature of this website is the Village Diary which you will find by following the link in the left hand menu. Any events that happen in and around the village can be posted on the diary page, whether they are local groups or societies, Church events, fun activities or meetings etc. To add your event to the diary page please contact the Diary Keeper.

You will find pages about the Parish Council, the Village Hall and Useful Numbers & Contacts.

There is currently a Government Consultation on Local Government Reorganisation in Cumbria. This is to establish a unitary system of local government, either through one large Unitary authority, or two smaller ones, covering the whole of Cumbria, which will replace the current District and County Councils. These changes will impact the way local services are delivered. For more information and to have your say please visit the consultation website – Local Government Reorganisation in Cumbria
