• Lazonby Live - 7th September 2013 - this year held at Nunwick Hall. A great event and a lot of fun. Varied music from lots of live bands with an audience of a few hundred.
• The village shelter- adjoining the playing field wall - is almost fully complete. It was officially opened by Eleanor Rose and Cath James during the Jubilee Celebrations.

• Village Hall 100 Club - latest Winners - these are listed in the Highland Drove pub where the draw is made weekly.
• Great Salkeld village newsletter - ‘The Craic’. (Craic or crack is a term for fun, entertainment, and enjoyable conversation) A new Great Salkeld village newsletter, The Craic is almost ready to publish. If there is anything you would like to submit with a view to publication please email it to the COPY FILE (by clicking on the words COPY FILE you will go to a blank email to send) Please make sure to date the submission and give your own contact details. There will also be a hard-copy letter box set up shortly in the church for anyone wanting to submit typed or handwritten copy. All these submissions will need a date and a signature with your contact details. The newsletter will also always be made available to download from this website.
